ROSELLE, NJ – Milencia Saintus, a student from Roselle, was chosen as one of 14 students in the New York Tri-State area to receive a $16,000 scholarship.
Saintus was presented with the scholarship at the annual Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Tri-State Area African American Future Achievers (RMHC/AAFA) scholarship luncheon earlier this month.
The New York Tri-State area McDonald’s Owner/Operators Association hosted the elegant luncheon for 14 deserving high school graduating seniors from across the New York Tri-State Area who will be attending 4 year colleges and universities in the fall.
Each of the 14 recipients, will receive the $16,000 scholarship paid over 4 years.
Repeated shouts of “Hallelujah,” “praise God” and “Jesus saves” filled the intersection of King and Crenshaw Boulevards as local and national artists performed on the Brenda Marsh-Mitchell Gospel Stage at the 11th Annual Taste of Soul family festival.
